This is a collection of audio projects and voicers from stories I’ve produced and edited.
This is a piece I did while at CBC Yukon thanks to the CBC Summer Scholarship in 2025. I did a pre-tape with Kaylee-lynn Ann Hewitt-McDougall about a kennel painting event a local group was doing later in the week. I got the tape and edited it quickly before it went on air for the midday show.
This is a piece I did while at CBC Yukon thanks to the CBC Summer Scholarship in 2025. I was assigned to cover the 39th annual Yukon Summer Music Camp. I spoke with one of the instructors — Wesley Hardisty about his thoughts on teaching the Northern Fiddle.
This is a piece I did while at CBC Yukon thanks to the CBC Summer Scholarship in 2025. I was assigned to cover the 39th annual Yukon Summer Music Camp — so I went down and talked to a lot of campers and instructors, gathering audio, video, and photos. In this I spoke with the camp’s producer Ben Johnston-Urey and a camper who’s been attending almost every year since it opened in 1986 — Shari Heal.
This is a piece I did while at CBC Yukon thanks to the CBC Summer Scholarship in 2025. I was assigned to cover the 39th annual Yukon Summer Music Camp — my producer edited this together but I got the interviews of Xavier Davis, a young camper — and Ellen Thompson, a camper turned instructor.
This is a piece I did while at CBC Yukon thanks to the CBC Summer Scholarship in 2025. I pitched it after seeing an ad in the local events paper. I spoke with one of the artist’s Colin Dorward, and one of the curators, Phoebe Gonzales Rohrbacher.
This is a piece I did while at CBC Yukon thanks to the CBC Summer Scholarship in 2025. I pitched the story after seeing Yukon joining the list of provinces and territories planning to get rid of barriers to alcohol sales inter-provincially. I spoke to Bob Baxter — the co-owner of Yukon Brewing.
This is my 2024 News Reading Demo Reel — this is a sample of my news reading from a few short stories.
Jessie Anderson – Big Bros Barbershop // Received CBC’s 2024 Alexis Maurine Award
I made this small audio documentary in my first year at BCIT. It was for a project where we were to take the listener on an “adventure” through sound, as we explored their little world. I talked with Jessie Anderson, the owner of Big Bros Barbershop, a trans-friendly barbershop in Vancouver, B.C. The story follows his own journey to finding his true self, the struggles of trying to transition in the early 2000’s, and how haircuts can shape someone’s identity in a safe and fun way.
